Kubernetes for devs + Rest API Best practices + Lots of surprises!!

This month we are back with two talks about Rest APIs and Kubernetes and plenty of news and announcements, I really don’t know where to start from. Let’s begin with our guest star!!

1. We are really honored to have a Kubernetes (remote – skype) presentation by Paris Apostolopoulos, the JUHG leader, Java Champion and one of the most active members of the Java community in Greece for the last 10 years and more!

Paris is currently the lead software engineering at TicketMaster in London UK, and he is excited to share with us his Kubernetes experience! You can find him on Twitter and LinkedIn

2. Before that, I will discuss one of my favorite topics, which is rest api best practices, including naming conventions, versioning, caching and many more.

3. This is also the first meetup that we will have free food by our new sponsor ( e-food.gr ), the leader in on-line delivery services in Greece!

4. For those interested in Logging concepts, techniques and topics, Christos Manios wrote a very interesting review on the latest book we got from O’Reilly as part of our community membership program . If you want to read the book, feel free to send me a message.

5. As usual we will give away four(4) JetBrain licenses – last month we didn’t have a meetup so we have 2 more to give this time.

6. Starting this month, we have also one new sponsor, SoftConf. SoftConf will buy for us, 1-2 episodes every month, from https://cleancoders.com/ and of course will be shared to all Java meetup members/

7. Last but not least, I’m really proud to announce that the first ever VOXXED Days THESSALONIKI event will run on October 21st, 2016, in Thessaloniki Greece. This developer conference will bring together popular speakers, core developers of popular open source technologies and professionals willing to share their knowledge and experiences. With two tracks on different topics including: Server Side Java, Java SE, Cloud and Big Data, Web & HTML, Mobile, JVM, Architecture & Security, Methodology, and Future Technologies, attendees can satisfy their curiosity and learn new skills while enjoying and having fun!

Save the date : on Friday April 1st the blind early birds will be available for early adopters and event believers and the CfP will be also announced. Have a look at the web site , subscribe to the newsletter or follow the event on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
